Ginger Beetroot Kale Smoothie

A smoothie with a bit of a ginger kick + optional extras….

It’s always best to use organic fruit and vegetables for smoothies…particularly if you’re not peeling them….

Ingredients:

Kale, apples, kiwi, ginger, beetroot and good hemp protein powder
  • Beetroot
  • Apples
  • Kale
  • Kiwi
  • 4 cm. stick of fresh ginger
  • A handful of ice
  • 150ml. pineapple juice
  • Enough water…

Optional extras:

Hemp Protein contains ALL ..yes all… the essential amino acids…

  • 1 tbs. Hemp Protein Powder
  •  2 tbs. Coconut Yogurt (+ extra to garnish)
  • 1 tbs. nut butter
  • …and, if you’re up for it…a pinch of chilli powder…??

Method:

Wash, peel (if necessary) and chop fruit and veg.

Transfer everything to a blender and blitz until smooth.  Add water as necessary…
